Were you promised high returns with 'no risk', or money that doubles quickly?
Were you asked to pay a fee upfront to get a loan, a job, a prize or an inheritance?
Were you pressured to act fast ('today only', 'your account will be closed')?
Did someone ask for your OTP, PIN, password or card details, or to approve something on your banking app?
Were you told to move money to a 'safe account' to protect it?
Did the contact come out of the blue (WhatsApp, SMS, social media, a call from an unknown number)?
Were you asked to recruit others, or told your returns depend on new members joining?
Were you asked to pay in crypto, gift vouchers, or to a personal bank account?
Were you told to keep it secret from family or your bank?
Could you NOT find the company or person on the FSCA register (or, for a loan, the NCR register)?
Is someone you met online, and have not met in person, asking for money?
Have you already paid money or shared banking details?
